Aiden's first Easter

All in all it was a pretty typical day for Aiden - eat, burp, smile, check out his hands, practice grabbing and shoving things in to his mouth, smile some more, get cranky, sleep, repeat. He did however, play with his Easter cow that Great Grandma bought for him...

...and wear his Easter bib that Grandma Joyce got him...

...and share his bib with Remy.
In fact, Remy had a very exciting day that included a car ride, a hike at Carquinez Straight Regional Park, the removal of one tick, and a bath with Tecnue since I'm pretty certain he crashed through some poison oak.

And last but not least, Aiden's trying really hard to hold his own bottle these days and sometimes he gets his hands just right:

Back to work...

Well it's my third day back at work and it's really tough to be away from my little man but so far we're both surviving. In fact in keeping with what I'm sure will continue to be the theme for many years to come, the transition appears to be much tougher on me than it is on him. Kellie the daycare lady said that she's been doing this for over 10 years and she was impressed with how mellow and happy he's been during his first days there - apparently we have the most easy going child ever. Kellie also reported that Aiden is quite the flirt and Loves the two little girls that she cares for. I guess he really is his daddy's son. ;-)

Some new photos:

Aiden has discovered how fun it is to kick and splash in the water so bath time is quickly becoming a very wet affair for everyone involved.
And a few my dad took when the Brickers came up for a really fun weekend to meet Aiden.
